Are private clouds more secure than public cloud?
It depends. Once your business is in cloud, public or private, it is open to the security risks. Your private cloud is more secure than the public cloud because fewer people know it is there. Once there are more people know it, potential access to your cloud platform becomes a more realistic threat.
A private cloud can satisfy compliance and security measures that a public cloud simply cannot. However, this depends largely on the competence of your in-house cloud administrator or the expertise of the private cloud provider.
