NETWORK

A computer network comprises two or more computers that are connected—either by cables (wired) or WiFi (wireless)— with the purpose of transmitting, exchanging, or sharing data and resources.

Private Network

A private network is a computer network that uses a private IP addresses. These addresses are commonly used for local area networks (LANs) in residential, office, and enterprise environments.

Private network is configured in such a way that devices outside the network cannot access it. Only a selected set of devices can access this type of network depending on the settings configured in the network routers and access points.

Private networks are most preferred in businesses and private organizations because they provide high security for vital information.
